Police arrest 3 in Attleboro after bank robbery

Attleboro police caught a huge break when they found a cell phone used by a suspect and used it to pin-point position of the suspects, who were less than half a mile away.

Just after 3PM on Wednesday a woman walked up to a teller at the Bank of America on Washington St. in Attleboro, flashed a gun, and demanded money.

The woman got away in a white SUV before police arrived on the scene

Later, officers investigating the crime found a cellphone outside the bank, that they believed was dropped by the female suspect.

An ABC6 camera caught police using the phone to try and track down the people behind the robbery, and just moments after investigators stopped using the phone, they peeled out of the bank's parking lot.

Officer then drove less than half a mile down the road to an apartment building where the arrests were made.
