Police announce arrest in 18 multi-city RI robberies over six years

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Multiple police departments announced charges stemming from 18 robberies throughout Rhode Island over the last six years.

According to Providence Police Department Chief Oscar Perez, Khivory Alston, 37, confessed to committing or attempting to commit the 18 robberies throughout the state.

The joint investigation was a collaborative effort tracking the robberies in Providence, Cranston, Pawtucket, Woonsocket and Johnston between 2019 and 2015.

Perez was joined by Johnston Police Chief  Mark Vieira, Cranston Police Department Major Todd Patalano and Pawtucket police representatives.
